Pecco Bagnaia

Marco Melandri shone on the track and on the microphone at the Vmoto ProDay in Misano, sharing the track with legends like Jorge Lorenzo, Loris Capirossi, and Marco Bezzecchi. In a friendly yet electric atmosphere, the former 250cc world champion spoke about Marc Marquez's dominance, Francesco Bagnaia's struggles, and the heated transfer window surrounding Jorge Martin.

Melandri first savored every moment of the Vmoto ProDay: “ one dayed 'hot'' in every way, from the mofeo to theatmosphere on the track. We We were among former pilots, but no one wanted to to be lefton account ! Loris, Jorge and I, weIt's really funes. Cwas ggreat to see Bezzecchi in près. We feel the change of ganderation. We need more days.like this one, to test motorcycles and meet up with friends. It was wonderful. »

The conversation quickly shifted to the current MotoGP, where Marc Marquez shines brightly at Ducati. Melandri believes that this domination deeply disturbs Francesco Bagnaia: " I think that everythingdepends on Marquez's speed. Bagnaia is not going slower than thelast year. Without the two Marquez at their current level, Bagnaia would win every race ».

« More the need for'go even faster betweenmistakes when flirting with the limits. Pecco focuses a lot on braking, cis thethat rresides the difficultye. Marc brakes more gently in the firstfirst phase and uses the rear brakeera plus taway, which stabilizes the motorcycle. Pecco, on the other hand, is more aggressive and relieves the rear wheel earlier. Braking a motorcycle with only one wheel on the ground is much more complicated.. »

Marco Melandri: “ Pecco Bagnaia must forget Marquez and concentrate on his own feelings »

His advice to bagnaia on motosan is clear: " Changing riding style is impossible and unnatural. You have to find something on the bike that fits to his needs. He must forget about Marquez and concentrate on his own feelings. And then…there is always someoneone of the fastest in the race. »

Melandri also pays tribute to the unique trajectory of Marquez, gone from battles against Rossi, Lorenzo, Pedrosa to a new clash with the current generation:

« Marc wonit's din its firstfirst season in MotoGP. Heis imposed on a motorcycle whichwas not the best at ddeparture. Many nThey didn't believe it. Before, with the Honda, Marc really suffered on certain circuits. TodayToday, the best rider is on the best bike. Dall'Igna knew it when he chose Marquez. The postman 'favorable track'' on the Ducati n'doesn't exist as before. »

Melandri spoke about the transfer window saga, in particular the break between George Martin et Aprilia. For the Italian, the future ofEnea Bastianini could well be written in Noale:

« I see Enea in a good position. Aprin a yearcomplicatedée, the motivation is immense to redeem oneself. When you see him on the KTM, itIt's like an ahovercraft: the motorcycle is rigid, itI have no feeling with the tires. I see myself in this situation in 2008. In my opinion, Aprilia would be a perfect environment for him : c'is a family team, and the bike could bevery suitable to his style. »

Marco Melandri, still as passionate, keeps a keen eye on the technical and human challenges of a MotoGP more incandescent than ever.
