Massimo rivola

Confinement is fine for a while. This is the message that Massimo Rivola at the head of Aprilia's competition branch seems to want to convey. The latter thus recalls that if there is an obvious health emergency to be taken into account, he also underlines that its cost in terms of human life has been aggravated by the incompetence of the authorities... Which, today, is dangerously suffocating the economy by, this time, a lack of discernment in the measures taken. A highly political and economic point of view revealing that this blocking situation is reaching the end of its tolerance...

Italy has been confined for longer than us and this economic and social blockage, although motivated by the best reasons, since the world is under the yoke of the pandemic coronavirus, is shaking the country at the risk of tipping it into a deep crisis with consequences worse than the evil Covid-19. Massimo rivola, competition director at Aprilia is thus very clear: “ my big concern is that if we close everything for too long we will die of hunger and not of the coronavirus »

The words are strong from an Italian who today regrets more than 15 deaths since the start of the emergency. Rumors calling for a reopening of industrial factories are increasing day by day, demanding a return to normal to avoid large-scale economic consequences. The sports director of Aprilia, Massimo rivola , also wonders how long the country can still be closed. “ I don't think we can shut everything down for too long because the country is already ruined » – he told Motorsport-Total.com -. “ I don't want to sound too cynical, but the average age of death is 79 years old. We must quarantine people over 70. »

Massimo rivola also points the finger at those who reacted too late to stem the spread of the infection. “ The outbreak grew very quickly because they didn't tell us how bad the problem was, so we're in trouble now. »

Nothing will change for the month of April, but the situation risks exploding. “ We did everything we could and followed the guidelines in the best possible way. We have halved the number of employees and doubled their workspace for distancing. So we took a pretty drastic approach by shutting everything down and sending everyone home », concluded the head ofAprilia. “ We will be permanently closed until the end of the month, even if Italy slowly reopens a little. » But it is clear that the threshold of tolerance, from all points of view, has been reached…
