Alberto puig

After a period relatively following an off-season that felt like hibernation, MotoGP news accelerated with the resumption of the season in Jerez last weekend. Just before, the drivers' market had taken us out of the lethargy associated with confinement, but with this race of a Spanish Grand Prix marked by the first victory of Fabio Quartararo and the rise, then the fall followed by the injury of Marc Marquez, things are getting out of hand. And they have gained even more speed since the eight-time world champion received his medical clearance to already line up in the Grand Prix, barely out of the operating room which reduced his humerus fracture...

Last Sunday, Marc Marquez finished his Dantesque comeback with an equally impressive fall. The injury was at the end of the gravel trap and not just a little: fracture of the humerus. The latter was also marked by comments fromAlberto puig, Repsol Honda team leader, ensuring not only that, without his crash, his driver would have won but that in addition, a championship without him would deliver a cheap winner. Le Corsaire qualifies this evaluation as appropriate: “ Puig’s provocation? It's the law of sport, there are drivers who obtained their world champion title without even winning a race during the championship. But for this reason, they are no less world champions than the others ».

Among them, by the way, Emilio Alzamora, 125 World Champion without a victory and current manager of the brothers Marquez…By the way, on July 23 during the 1995 British Grand Prix at Donington Park, Carlos Checa made his debut in the premier category of the Grands Prix, replacingAlberto puig, who had fallen heavily during the previous round at Le Mans…
