« We know that we need time, we cannot expect performance to arrive overnight, but the gap has narrowed and there are still positive aspects, such as the ease of overtaking or the good management of tires with Aprilia » adds Viñales. “ There is still a lot of work to do. I still don't feel completely comfortable in the saddle. Especially on speed, I had some problems during the race. The bike behaves very well with the tires, however, it maintained excellent grip and this allowed me to stay very consistent with a good pace. I'm quite happy with it. It wasn't a perfect Sunday, but it was pretty good ».
The work will continue in the coming days with tests on the same route of Misano : " the tests will be very useful to understand certain things about my position in the saddle, then there are things to try on the bike. They will help me find the way to be even faster. With the bike I have now it's difficult for me to be, we will have a lot of things to work on and I hope the weather is good ».
