This Thursday, October 21, 2021, Luca marini answered questions from journalists from the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, as a prelude to the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell'Emilia-Romagna.

We went to listen (via teleconferencing software) to the words of the Italian driver, who achieved the feat of having finished all the races so far this season.

As usual, we report here the words of Luca marini without the slightest formatting.

Luca, you have finished every race so far this season, which is far from trivial for a rookie. How do you analyze your season so far?

"This What is certain is that I would like to be a little more at the forefront, especially in racing. But overall I'm still happy with my season. It’s true that I’ve completed every race so far, but I can’t say that’s something I’m proud of. Ultimately I would prefer to be more at the forefront, even if it means sometimes making mistakes. »

"But The positive side of all this is that I can understand how the tires wear during the race, how the bike works and evolves over the laps. It's also a good thing for me to understand in which areas I still need to work on physically, because it's true that I suffer a little with the Ducati on this point. »

" We We have also worked a lot on the ergonomic side of the bike, to ensure that this machine is less physical to ride. Now I am quite satisfied with the level I have, especially compared to the start of the season: Now I have much more confidence, and I feel better overall, but we will still have to improve in the last three races of the season. year, because I would like to establish myself permanently in the top 10. »

You are also preparing for your second season in MotoGP, which could well be promising if we rely on your career in Moto2, where you took the necessary time to be fast, before really exploding...

" I Don't think you have to look at things that way. It took me five years to get to MotoGP, which is not that slow. What is true is that when I arrived in Moto2 it was a completely different world compared to what I had known in the different European championships, not to mention that with the Forward team we were missing something thing on a technical level. »

" That So it took a while to get to the same level as the headliners, but once I did, it was for good, and I was strong and fast. When I feel comfortable on the bike, I feel like I can do absolutely anything I want with it. In fact, it's this feeling that I would like to find again during the last three rounds this season. »

What do you think of Ducati's commitment to MotoE? Would you be willing to ride an electric motorcycle provided by the brand next year?

" I didn't even know the news. I think it's a good thing. I don't know if the electric motorcycle really represents the future, but I understand that Ducati wants to be in the game and occupy the field. In fact, I think it's a great opportunity, and I'm very open about it. I already own an electric car and I enjoy driving it, and I think it could be nice to do a few laps in this category at the end of my MotoGP career. »
