The big Sunday of the long race begins on a track in Misano which is in its second reception of MotoGP in two weeks. Bastianini sets the reference time of 1.34.821s. Bagnaia, Bezzecchi, Morbidelli and AFernandez complete the top 5.

Acosta takes the lead in 1.33.201s but Bastianini replies in 1.32.669s. Quartararo 2nd best time in 1.32.668s. The Nice driver takes the lead by following in 1.32.191s. He is taken by Bastianini who gives the change in 1.32.069s

The championship lead in close order…

Bastianini responded and regained control in 1.31.519s ahead of Morbidelli, Quartararo, Binder and Acosta.
