Misano

It's the big moment of the San Marino Grand Prix, in Misano, the twelfth round of the season that we are going to bring you to experience in Live mode. Before starting, here is the presentation of the top 10 of the starting grid.

George Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) qualified on pole for the 10th time in MotoGP, the first time since Valencia last year on his way to 3rd place, setting a new all-time lap record at Misano. He took his third Sprint victory and will now aim for his third MotoGP victory with Styria 2021 and Germany 2023.

Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) qualified second for his fourth top-three finish in qualifying so far this year. In his three previous top 3 finishes, he finished on the podium twice, including his first victory in Argentina. He finished P2 in the Sprint at Misano, his fifth Sprint podium, and he will aim for his third MotoGP victory on Sunday with Argentina and France this year.

Francis Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team), the championship leader, qualified third for his 10th qualifying top 3 so far this year. He finished P3 in Sprint for his 10th Sprint podium and will now aim to take his sixth GP victory of the season, which would be one less than last year. It would be his third MotoGP victory at the track, tying MotoGP legends Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo.

This is the eighth consecutive pole position for Ducati in MotoGP, a streak that started in France, which constitutes the longest pole streak in MotoGP. Additionally, this is the 52nd consecutive race where at least one Ducati rider is among the top three in qualifying.

Maverick Vinales (Aprilia Racing) qualified fourth, as he did in Catalonia last week, marking his second best qualifying result so far this season after qualifying second in Austria. He finished P6 in Sprint, but he is in contention to make MotoGP history on Sunday by scoring Grand Prix victories with three different factories (having already won with Suzuki and Yamaha). He took Aprilia's only MotoGP podium so far at this track, with a third place finish in 2022.

Marc Marquez's last victory was 686 days ago and it was at Misano

The Wildcard and the legend of MotoGP Dani Pedrosa qualified fifth as best KTM, for his best qualifying result since qualifying second at the 2018 Spanish GP. He has stood on the MotoGP podium six times at Misano, the last time being in 2016 when he took victory. He finished P4 in Sprint and if he gets on the podium on Sunday, he will have one fewer podium (113) than MotoGP legend Jorge Lorenzo (114), who ranks second on the list of riders with the most podiums in the premier class. Sunday, Pedrosa is also expected to start his 298th Grand Prix race, overtaking Lorenzo for seventh on the list of drivers with the most GP starts.

Winner last time in Catalonia, Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing) made it through Q1 but ultimately qualified sixth, their fifth top six finish in qualifying so far this season. He finished P8 in Sprint and will now aim for a fourth Grand Prix victory.

Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) qualified seventh, the sixth time this year he has qualified in the top nine. He finished P5 in Sprint and will now be aiming for his ninth MotoGP podium, which would see him become the South African rider with the most podiums in the premier class.

Luca marini (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) qualified eighth for his worst qualifying result at Misano since qualifying 15th at the 2021 San Marino GP. He finished P7 in Sprint but will aim to make the podium for the second time in MotoGP with the Americas this year.

Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) qualified ninth for its best qualifying result since qualifying seventh at the German GP earlier this year (but then missed the race). He finished 10th in Sprint as the best Honda and will now aim to win for the first time since Emilia Romagna 2021 ago 686 days here in Misano.
