« Misano is a circuit we know very well, as it is used all year round for private testing. We therefore have a large amount of data, which allows us to arrive with a perfectly adapted tire allocation. We decided to repeat the same approach as on other recent circuits like Balaton and Barcelona: a symmetrical Soft and Medium at the front, and a Hard that combines the stiffer casing with the Medium compound. This choice offers an ideal balance between consistency, stability and feel for the rider.
At the rear, we're sticking with the two Soft and Medium specifications that were so successful last year. They're asymmetrical, with a reinforced right shoulder, essential at Misano given the ten right-hand turns. This circuit is less harsh on tires than Barcelona: the asphalt's natural grip is better, top and average speeds are lower, and there's no relief. But Misano remains demanding for the front, especially in sections like Curvone or Tramonto, where the precision and stability of the front tire are crucial.

On the other hand, according to the engineers of Brembo, the 4,226 km long Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli is ranked among the most demanding circuits for braking systems.
On a scale of 1 to 6, it gets a difficulty rating of 4, with 11 braking zones per lap: 3 in the High category, 6 in the Medium category and 2 in the Light category, for a total of 28,5 seconds spent braking. Throughout the race, each driver will exert a total load on the brake lever of more than 1,1 tonnes, or the second highest figure of the season after the Austrian Grand Prix.
