Fabio Quartararo is not celebrating in Misano. Whereas he managed to stand out just a week ago at the Montmelo circuit, "El Diablo" seems to be suffering from ailments that are difficult to cure in Italy. While Yamaha's attention is mainly focused on testing the new V4 prototype ridden by Augusto Fernandez, Quartararo deplores a lack of readability on the handlebars of his machine, which reacts in a completely unpredictable way depending on the type of tire fitted. He explains.
The Frenchman was not really satisfied with his first day at Misano, as he explained to our microphones. "I didn't feel any sensations today. I'm having a lot of difficulty at the moment. What is certain is that I cannot be satisfied with 12th place. We can't find solutions to our problems. The motorcycle is unpredictable, that's the problem, it prevents us from having confidence. I can't push like that, and not just me, the Pramac drivers have fallen"

Yet last weekend didn't start with a bang either. However, this time, he urges us not to expect miracles. "We cannot hope for a turnaround like in Barcelona. Last week I was better on FridaysWe had half a day of testing here, and it was already the same problems. On the pace, we're not that bad, but on the time attack, we couldn't do a lap and that's what happened today. There's grip, but on the soft, I don't have any grip on the right, and on the medium, I don't have any grip on the left. It changes in all areas, we were lost on one tour" he continued.

The Yamaha V4 attracts the attention of all observers, and Quartararo did not fail to notice the rather high pace of the new prototype ridden by Augusto Fernandez. « I follow Augusto's times with one eye, of course; and he was close to the other Yamaha riders. We know he's very fast, but hey, I remain cautious about the analysis" he concluded.
