Pedrosa

We will remember that Dani Pedrosa was expected in Misano to make his comeback in Grand Prix and for the first time in a race with KTM. But ultimately, it was in Styria that this gathering took place. The fact remains that the Misano meeting has not been canceled either, nor, moreover, has it been confirmed. In any case, the hypothesis is in the news. The proof…

Dani Pedrosa could come back MotoGP for a second race in 2021 after his marked return in Styria by an accident, a second start and a top 10 on the handlebars of his KTM. It would be next September, as a wildcard at the Grand Prix of Misano, a meeting his Austrian employer has already booked him into. Which does not mean playing because a wildcard may also not be honored. And we will remember the words of the Spanish legend indicating that after his first Austrian campaign, he found no use in continuing within the framework of a competition to further develop the RC16.

KTM indicated that he would not oppose a new race of Pedrosa if he wanted it, and if he excluded it, he wouldn't blame his test pilot for anything either. For the moment, the Spaniard is registered for the next race in Misano, scheduled for September 19st next. A meeting in which will also participate Stefan Bradl for Honda) and Michelle Pirro for Ducati.

Pedrosa will do at least one test at Misano

The same people will find themselves on the same track a few weeks earlier, the 31 August during a scheduled test session and in which Andrea Dovizioso should also be present for his last engagement with Aprilia, unless Casa Particular in Viñales is already stepping up to the plate.

Misano was initially the meeting that KTM had planned for the first wildcard of Dani Pedrosa and which would have marked his big return to the circuits. However, the work of the brand during the development of the 2022 prototype gave the Spaniard the possibility of being able to advance the appointment to the Styrian Grand Prix, at the Red Bull Ring, a course on which the brand has completed the majority tests and where they had more data accumulated to face the race weekend.
