MotoGP Misano Test:
It rained overnight. A lot. But this morning, the sky is back to its usual clarity and the chance of precipitation is only 5% at 17 p.m.
However, the track remains damp, wet in places, and risks remaining so for a while, in the total absence of wind. This humidity will not, however, resist the sun expected to heat the air to 31° this afternoon.
When asked, some teams plan to take to the track around 10 a.m.…

from Emilia-Romagna, come back to this article as the hours go by…
10h00 – The countdown has been running for an hour now, but no machine has yet taken to the track on the Misano side. It won't be long, since the first laps should take place early this morning.
To 10h20, Dani Pedrosa is the first, and the only one for the moment, to set off. A quick lap to gauge the condition of the track and return to the pits.
At KTM, the program is very busy, because there are many elements to test, while Jack Miller and Augusto Fernandez are now kept away from development. Consequently, RC16s everywhere, regardless of their riders. We thus find Jack Miller at Tech3 or Dani Pedrosa in its place.
Several new elements have already been spotted, such as this exhaust pipe...
To 10h30, Pedro Acosta, Brad Binder, Augusto Fernandez and Raul Fernandez are on track.
11h00 - After two hours of riding, still little action on the track. It is now Fabio Quartararo who holds the best time of these tests. The Frenchman completed a total of six attempts before setting a mark in 1:32.900, which allows him to take the lead on the scoreboard. Second, more than three tenths behind, Pedro Acosta is for the moment the rider who has ridden the most, with a total of 10 passes. There are currently 8 riders defending a time, including 4 KTM riders.

The Ducatis have finally taken to the track, and Jorge Martin currently holds the fastest lap. With a time of 1:31.987, the Spaniard sets a mark almost a second faster than the one that allowed Fabio Quartararo to take control of the proceedings an hour ago.
Pedro Acosta and Brad Binder have been riding hard again, and now have 20 and 21 laps under their belts respectively. Both KTM riders are still in the top three.

It was therefore Jorge Martin who completed this first session of the day with the best time. The Iberian managed to lap in 1:31.124, to beat his compatriot, Pedro Acosta, by 41 thousandths. The two men were among those who rode the most this morning, with 32 and 29 laps respectively on the clock. The 20-year-old rider was also the only one not riding a Ducati to feature in a top-5 completed by Franco Morbidelli, Marc Marquez and Pecco Bagnaia. These three were, however, more than three tenths behind the leading duo.
After a quiet morning, the drivers will take part in the Michelin test session. A track outing that will begin at 14:00 p.m. (see program above).

Paddock-GP can confirm that during this test, all official drivers will be required to try the new front tyre, the others will do what they want. It is a new type of rubber that only the test drivers have been able to try. Everything is new: casing, rubber, profile. The latter offers in particular a larger contact surface with the track.
The tire weighs 1 kg less than the current generation of Michelin tires. The French manufacturer hopes that it will be validated by all drivers so that it can be used at the start of the 2026 season.
14h30 – The test session of the Michelin front tire is now over. Judging by the times of the official drivers, this new tire is more than promising…
MotoGP Misano Test – Michelin Test Session Final Standings:
14h35 – The time has come to start the second test session of the day at Misano. The riders now have more than three hours to get out on track, as the next checkered flag will be waved at around 18:00.
15h30 – The Ducati are currently in formation in terms of times. Pecco Bagnaia defends the lead of the table with a mark of 1:30.950, which is currently the fastest of the day. Enea Bastianini and the Pramac riders follow him closely, since the top-4 is separated by 3 tenths.
The Yamaha riders have just had a productive time on track, with Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins completing a total of 31 laps together. The Tricolore is currently ranked 10th, more than a second behind Bagnaia.
16h35 – Just 1h30 of track action before the end of this second MotoGP Test session at Misano. On the scoreboard, Pecco Bagnaia is still in the lead ahead of Enea Bastianini. However, he has knocked three tenths off the reference mark during the last hour of running. Pedro Acosta has meanwhile come to complete an attempt in 1:31.052, which allows him to get ahead of the Pramac riders.
The Aprilias remain the machines to claim the most time on track. While Maverick Viñales ranks sixth, with a total of 30 laps completed, Aleix Espargaro has clocked up 34 passes on the Misano circuit since 14:30 p.m. That is more than anyone else this afternoon. Lorenzo Savadori (21), Raul Fernandez (24) and Miguel Oliveira (25) have also driven a lot.
Things are settling down, however, and fewer and fewer drivers are taking to the track as the end of the day approaches.
18:00 p.m. – End of the Misano MotoGP Test
This long day is coming to an end, and Pecco Bagnaia will leave the Misano circuit with the best time. The Italian managed to finish in 1:30.619, ahead of a very active Franco Morbidelli at the end of the day. The Pramac rider lapped more than any other Ducati rider, to cover the circuit almost fifty times, and take second place in these tests.
Enea Bastianini completes the top three, ahead of Pedro Acosta, who also showed a strong presence on track during the last hour of running.
Fabio Quartararo wraps up a busy test with Yamaha in fifth place overall, just over four tenths off the lead. His teammate Alex Rins is sixteenth overall at 18:00 p.m.
Aleix Espargaro takes a rest after an impressive series of laps. He hands over to Lorenzo Savadori and Maverick Viñales, the latter being the driver who claims the highest number of laps at the end of the second session.
