While Jorge Lorenzo teased the Misano circuit record which belongs to him, Andrea Dovizioso lined up no less than 90 laps to fine-tune his Ducati, achieving in the process the second best time of the day, half a second behind his teammate.

The Forlì pilot spoke to our colleagues at GPone : “I toured a lot because I wanted to make comparisons and today there were some excellent comparisons. I would tend to say really very good. The times were particularly fast, but we shouldn't give them too much importance.
Fortunately, there were also some of our competitors during these tests, and we were able to make a real comparison, even if Marc was not there. We were quick. We didn't have anything new to try but it was a nice surprise to be on the track and to have better sensations than ever on this track. We were able to work on some small details and that makes me very happy. It’s further confirmation of the improvement of our bike and I’m going to Silverstone very confident.”

Michele Pirro, who will participate in the race as a wild card, was also on track with a third Desmosedici GP18 from the Ducati Test Team. The Italian, who set a best time of 1'33.5 during his 74 laps, will continue testing at the Misano circuit over the next two days.
