Here we are entering a MotoGP qualifying session which, as is tradition, will take place in two stages. The first is this Q1 from which two drivers will emerge who will have the pleasure of continuing the adventure in Q2. To play there, why not, pole position. This exercise in Misano will, however, have one particularity: it will be a real KTM cup. Indeed, the four drivers from the Mattighofen factory are invited to this 15-minute competition…

This is promising and all the more so since there is also Nakagami for Honda and Petrucci with an official Ducati. The battle therefore promises to be intense... Which duo will continue their journey? Before answering this question, here is the table which summarizes the facts experienced so far…

29° in the air and 42° on the track are the conditions offered to pilots for this quarter of an hour of exercise. As soon as the track opens, the drivers set off.

The first assault fails Alex Marquez lap canceled for going beyond the track. The first leader is Alex Espargaro on the Aprilia in 1'32.295. He is ahead of his brother Pol on the KTM. The latter accelerates in 1'32.159. It is in hard medium, and it is the only one to ride with this rear rubber. The others are in software.

Petrucci is the first to fail and leads the rest of the peloton. Alex Marquez, definitely in difficulty, embarrassed Miguel Oliveira. Nakagami on the Honda is only sixth.

Everyone returns to the box and passes new balls for the last attempt. There are five minutes left. Brothers Asparagus go together...

In 1'32.064, Pol improves his mark with his KTM now with a soft rear. Olive tree goes second and therefore eliminates Aleix for Q2. We leave it there, with two KTMs continuing the adventure, one official and the other from Tech3. Alex Espargaro fails for Aprilia. Nakagami is only fourth and Petrucci can also be disappointed because fifth. Brad Binder follows in front Rabat, Lecuona, Bradl, Smith et Alex Marquez who brings up the rear...
