The ordeal continues for Luca Marini at Assen. Rarely have we seen an official rider in such great difficulty since the appearance of the MotoGP championship in 2002. Subscribed to last place, it's hard to believe that Luca Marini was one of the hosts of the top 10 last year, even present on the podiums. Always a regular driver, he is one of the few who has not yet fallen in Grands Prix this year but his problem lies elsewhere. He sorely lacks speed, as does confidence in his equipment.
The weekends follow one another and are the same for Marini. “Today we worked to get the most out of our package, trying to improve with adjustments. I was aiming for something more because the gap is a little too big, but everyone is very fast this weekend » he declared yesterday at the end of the first day. Indeed, the gap is even abysmal; more than two seconds separated him from Pecco Bagnaia, and almost a whole from Johann Zarco, best representative of the winged firm.

At Honda, we have a hard time taking steps forward, and when we do, the others progress even further. « We need to find something for tomorrow and the team has already started working so I'm sure we can do it. Our feelings are good, we just need more performance. We are progressing, like the others, we must therefore look for a big breakthrough » continued the main person concerned.
Luca isn't mentioned much in this crazy transfer season. He could well continue with Honda as is expected for his teammate Joan Mir, but we reported to you some time ago that the two were looking for a way out. Case to follow.
