Marc Marquez

The Repsol Honda Team MotoGP will round off a busy June this weekend at Assen in the Netherlands, with the starting rider Marc Márquez and the replacement Iker Lecuona, which replaces Joan mir, hurt.

The Dutch TT will be the eighth event of the season and the last before a long summer break.

Marc Márquez will arrive in Assen after a difficult weekend at the Sachsenring. The Repsol Honda Team rider has used the last few days to recover from the crashes he suffered during the German Grand Prix. Márquez has been on the podium ten times on the Dutch circuit and has won five victories there: 1 in 125cc, 2 in Moto2 and 2 in MotoGP. He also obtained 4 second places and a third place in the premier category.

Joan mir will continue his convalescence at home, with the aim of returning to competition at the British Grand Prix, after a difficult start to the year. The driver who replaces him will be Iker Lecuona, who will pilot the Honda RC213V for the first time since the Spanish Grand Prix, where he replaced Márquez, finishing 18th in the Sprint and 16th in the GP.
The Superbike rider has already been on the WSBK podium in Assen, where he finished third this season for his first podium finish.
