Yet another demonstration. Marc Marquez once again won in the Netherlands. His 68th premier-class victory allows him to equal Giacomo Agostini's record, and now he only has Valentino Rossi in his sights. After making an excellent start—just like yesterday—Marc Marquez wasted no time in attacking Pecco Bagnaia, and was never really troubled again. He recounts his triumph in the cathedral.
Marc Marquez was a happy man. While his brother's injury certainly didn't make him happy, he now had a 68-point lead over second place in the championship, which is simply stratospheric. « I'm not 100% happy because my dad told me that Alex broke his finger.. He's my main rival for the World Championship, and I want them all on the track, especially when it's my brother. I won without being the fastest, simply by managing the race the way I wanted. I was very clear: I wanted to do 11 laps at a certain pace, and with 15 laps to go, increase that pace. We achieved that; I lost three or four tenths, I started to set my personal best laps and maintain them » he declared for DAZN at the arrival.

The Spaniard absolutely wanted to thank Ducati for supporting him after his two big falls on Friday.. « This was the Marc of six years ago, the one who destroyed two motorcycles every day.. I thank the Ducati mechanics, because they finish late at night. They had extra work because of me." he added.

He also spoke about the significant lead he now enjoys. He knows that this part of the season is crucial, particularly because of injuries. “We are entering a period of the season where an injury can cause you to miss two races. A little finger, a broken finger... and you lose more than 70 points if your opponent does well. » he concluded.
