The rumor is intensifying day by day.In this transfer window, the last available seat at the Ducati VR46 team represents a real opportunity, but is currently coveted by numerous riders. Alongside Fermin Aldeguer, who is expected to join the Italian team, could be Franco Morbidelli, the current rider, Luca Marini, who has close ties to VR46 and Valentino Rossi, Celestino Vietti, a Moto2 rider, and Nicolo Bulega, the current leader of the Superbike World Championship. Fabio Di Giannantonio, meanwhile, is reportedly heading to the KTM factory.
Bulega, who is on a 22-race Superbike winning streak, has been eyeing this opportunity for quite some time now. Even though he hasn't been part of the VR46 Academy since 2020, he maintains a very good relationship with Valentino Rossi. At Mugello, sources revealed that Bulega had reached an agreement with VR46 for next year, but when questioned following his victories in Aragon, the person in question denied it.
