Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 2024 Launch: “Get on the GASG” for 2024 with wings, extra promises and lots of excitement! Augusto Fernandez, Pedro Acosta and Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 accelerate changes for the upcoming season.

Don't miss our super cool presentation of the Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 2024, where the youngest and wildest line-up on the MotoGP grid ushers in the second Grand Prix season!

This will start with the official pre-season tests in Malaysia and Qatar, but also the anticipation of the new world championship campaign, which begins with the Qatar Grand Prix at the Lusail International Circuit on March 9-10. This spotlight race will be the first of 22 rounds and 44 outings (2024 will be the second term of the Saturday Sprint format) across the globe and running through November.

Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 is ready and eager to see the red lights go out thanks to its vibrant driver line-up. Augusto Fernandez, 2 Moto2022™ world champion and 2023 MotoGP rookie of the year, will tackle the premier class for the second time with the GASGAS RC16 and will try to do better than 4th, his best race result in 2023, as well as to enter the top 10 of the championship rankings. The 26-year-old driver is of course joined by his fellow Spaniard Peter Acosta, reigning number 1 in the Moto2 category. The 19-year-old has already won the Moto3 and Moto2 titles in just three years of GP competition and comes to MotoGP with well-deserved excitement and expectations. 2024 will be his first contact with the demands and technical complexities of MotoGP and the first step in a career that could prove spectacular.

Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 is once again led by Nicolas Goyon, for the second consecutive season, and enjoys excellent support from Espargaro Pol as a test and support driver, as well as the team's loyal group of partners and suppliers.

Augusto Fernandez : “Everything was new and there was a lot to learn last year, but there were times towards the end of the season where I felt fast and I felt like I had speed . I felt comfortable on the bike, but as a beginner you have to be very patient and trust the process. When I finished the 2023 season, I analyzed the season and saw that I had taken the necessary steps. I'm looking forward to this year because I now have the references of each track with the GASGAS RC16 and I know that on Friday we have to put a lot of effort because that can decide a large part of the weekend. I'm very proud to partner with Red Bull and have them on the bike. It's a dream and we have everything we need to perform. It's in our hands, so let's do it. »

Peter Acosta : “If I think about my career and my journey so far, it’s pretty good! It's nice to say that I had the opportunity to ride for a factory team in my first season, it's nice to say that I won two titles in three years, it's nice to say that I joined a factory team for the first season in MotoGP. But it's also very difficult to play with pressure, to play with comments. I don't want to think about the results right now. I've only done one day on the bike and now is not the time to talk about results or goals because it's not realistic. I will try to take advantage of the testing in Malaysia and gain as much experience as possible to try to be competitive at the start of the season, but during this time we also need to gain racing experience to progress step by step . »

Nicolas Goyon, Team Manager of the Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 team: “In 2023, we have seen a lot of changes. We've had this new Sprint format and the new team structure, but that means we're ready for the season ahead. Augusto was very strong in his first season. Of course, we all expect him to improve for 2024. He always takes the time to reflect on what happened on the track and then explain the technique and his feeling. This is something very important for the team to develop and tune the bike. Pedro is a great talent, but my message to the fans would be “be patient”. You know, it is not easy for a beginner to perform well. It's complicated now with ride height devices and lots of electronics. The weekend format is also complicated and you have to learn it. Let's give him time. For me, the Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 2024 team will be even closer to the fans. Both riders are young, and we know that is the main goal of GASGAS, to connect and excite everyone who watches MotoGP.”

Hervé Poncharal, Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 Team Director:  "One of the most exciting things to happen this winter is the return of Red Bull with Tech3, and we are extremely happy to see them back in our MotoGP™. This season will be more exciting than ever, with a very competitive grid: the drivers and technical packages are very close to each other, so I really believe we are ready for an incredible show. Augusto Fernandez learned a lot last year, and he is ready to perform and fight for the top spots. One of the brightest hopes that MotoGP™ has seen in recent years, Pedro Acosta, will line up with us. His first day of testing in Valencia has given us confidence that he has what it takes to have a brilliant rookie season, and we can't wait to get to Sepang to kick things off! »

Pete Beirer, director of GASGAS Motorsport: “2023 was a very intense year for our first season with GASGAS on the grid, but Augusto arrived with a great approach – he's super positive and he's a fighter – and gave us a highlight at Le Mans with its 4th position. I think the team has adapted very well throughout the season and I can't wait to see what Augusto can do in his second season. With Pedro, I think the entire paddock and community agrees that there is a diamond in the making in this sport. He is a very special driver, a unique driver who has already broken so many records at a young age. Pedro will make us better and stronger for the future, so we are happy to have him. I think GASGAS is a very dynamic brand, and considering the team spirit of these two fantastic athletes, it is definitely one to watch in 24.”

Hubert Trunkenpolz, member of the board of directors of Pierer Mobility AG: “One of the reasons we chose GASGAS for MotoGP was to raise awareness of the brand and it worked perfectly. MotoGP is, by far, the biggest and most successful platform, as the media value and audience participation is immense, and we are absolutely happy to have made this choice. We now have a very exciting combination of Augusto and Pedro and a bike that has proven itself to be ready for trophies. We know it's going to be a long season and the Sprints have been a challenge: the good thing is that the fans are really enjoying [the Sprints], the action on Saturday, and frankly, I love that too. At the end of the day, guys are competitors. It’s great to have Red Bull on board this year and I think the 2024 livery is fantastic. »
