The Suzuki Ecstar racing team, which fields Álex Rins and Joan Mir in the premier class of MotoGP, has clearly decided to reconnect with its past by sporting the metallic gray dear to the first racing machines produced by the Hamamatsu firm.
With the virtual abandonment of the flashy yellow that adorned the GSX-RRs until now, the result is a much more sober and, to our taste, much more beautiful livery, which is obviously reminiscent of Mitsuo Ito's machines, first Japanese to win for Suzuki in a Grand Prix in 1963.
Metallic gray is also found on the drivers' leathers and in the box decoration.
