It was widely anticipated but it is now official: The FIM Grand Prix World Championship MotoGP ™ confirmed this afternoon that the 2024 final round will take place in Barcelona in support of Valencia.
The Grand Prix will be organized in solidarity with the Valencian Community, on theThe Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, which is set to host the Motul Solidarity Grand Prix of Barcelona on the original dates of November 15-17.
The event was due to take place in Valencia before the devastating floods hit the region hard. As this is the final Grand Prix of the season, given the sporting context in which the championship is taking place and the positive impact of the event, MotoGP owed it to its fans, the sport and Valencia to stage the event. Instead of racing in Valencia, MotoGP™ will race for Valencia, for all those affected, and for the entire community of Valencia.
MotoGP™ organizers have asked the authorities to race in Barcelona because, even though all opinions are in nature, it was arguably the best possible choice. The circuit is the easiest option for fans who had already planned to attend the MotoGP™ season finale. The location and circuit are also the most efficient choice, offering a near-continuous alternative for staff and logistics.
The event will be organised by MotoGP™, which remains true to its policy of having as positive an impact as possible on the people, the place and the planet, wherever a GP is held. In this case, racing close to the Valencian Community will also allow the paddock to put this into action even more directly.

According to our information, the number of spectators admitted will be greatly reduced, while all ticket holders for Valencia will be fully reimbursed.
