Thailand

The Thai Grand Prix will not take place in 2021 for the same reasons that it has not been held since 2019, namely because of the health crisis. THE local government had warned of this outcome which is now official since relayed by the decision-makers in the paddock. The latter are now looking at a plan B, and especially since with Thailand out of the game, it is now Malaysia which is faltering...

It's official. The FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports regret to announce the cancellation of the OR Thailand Grand Prix, which was scheduled to take place at the Chang International Circuit in October 15 to 17. Despite the best efforts of all parties involved, the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and resulting restrictions meant the event had to be cancelled.

« The FIM MotoGP World Championship can't wait to return to racing in front of the incredibly passionate Buriram crowd in 2022 » can we read in the official press release which also specifies: “ a replacement event is currently under review and any updates regarding a possible replacement will be posted as soon as they become available ". The overseas campaign of Grand Prizes therefore looks complicated. For the moment, alone Austin in the United States has really been confirmed.
