Marc Marquez

Marc Márquez has been allowed to make his return to the track with the new Honda RC213V and the Repsol Honda team during the Sepang test on February 5, 2022.

Throughout the winter, Márquez underwent continuous medical checks and consultations to monitor his diplopia. In recent weeks, his condition has improved and the medical team judged that his recovery was sufficient to return to training on two wheels. The No. 93 first took to the track in motocross before trying the Honda RC213V-S in Portimão then a Honda CBR600RR in Aragón.

Last Monday, January 24, Márquez underwent a new medical check-up which confirmed that the treatment was a complete success and that the eight-time world champion is fit to ride a MotoGP.

It was therefore decided that Márquez would begin his 2022 campaign at the first official MotoGP test in Sepang before traveling to Mandalika, Indonesia the following week. This will be Márquez's first return to a MotoGP since his victory at the 2021 Emilia-Romagna GP ahead of Pol Espargaró.

The Repsol Honda Team will head to the first test of the new season in full force with Márquez alongside Pol Espargaró, who begins his second year with the team.
