On paper, the long-awaited vacation has begun for MotoGP riders, but the lure of the track continues to be too strong for riders. The Ducati riders know this well, to be precise Fabio Di Giannantonio, Marco Bezzecchi, Pecco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini, were present yesterday in Misano for a test on their Ducati Panigale V4S, machine with which they will take the start of the Race Of Champions during of World Ducati Week, which will take place at the end of July.

The race that will ignite the passion of fans and two-wheel enthusiasts and unite the community in the name of “Let's Ride as One” will see 21 Ducati riders from MotoGP, Superbike and Supersport compete on the track on Saturday July 23. Many of them have won world titles in different categories and races in the European and Italian championships.

Pecco Bagnaia, Jack Miller, Michele Pirro, Johann Zarco, Jorge Martin, Enea Bastianini, Fabio Di Giannantonio, Luca Marini, Marco Bezzecchi, Alvaro Bautista, Michael Ruben Rinaldi and Danilo Petrucci are some of the champions who will compete on the track from Misano, with other Ducati riders present in the Superbike and Supersport championships, including Oliver Bayliss, son of the legendary Troy.

The Ducati heroes will compete on Panigale V4 S and Panigale V2 in a two-category competition with two winners. Of course, these machines will be in racing configuration, each personalized with an exclusive livery inspired by the graphics of the motorcycle used by the rider during the championships. During the press conference, the special liveries of the Panigale V4s of Pecco Bagnaia and Alvaro Bautista, inspired by the graphics of the motorcycles they use in the championships, were revealed as a world preview.

This is why this ride in Misano was a useful test to consider as training, to keep the rhythm and the riding reflexes, but also to prepare for the Race Of Champions, the key event of World Ducati Week. A race that promises to be anything but a demonstration, after all, not giving your best is not part of a driver's DNA.

The MotoGP riders joined the private tests of Team Aruba, present on the track between Tuesday and Wednesday for a test session. On the track, in addition to Michael Rinaldi and Alvaro Bautista, we also saw Chaz Davies.
