After narrowly missing out on the MotoGP World Championship title in 2024, Pecco Bagnaia is already looking to the future. During the first pre-season tests, the Italian was able to get his hands on the new Ducati GP25 and shared his first impressions.

After finishing as vice-world champion MotoGP 2024 Pecco Bagnaia is now focusing on 2025. The Italian driver launched his pre-season on November 19 during the official tests at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, recording the third fastest time of the day.

Under clear skies, the track remained open for seven hours, giving the drivers the opportunity to evaluate their new machines. bagnaia, identifiable by its number 63 on its Ducati, shared his impressions of the GP25 to the press: “ The new bike has performed quite well, although there is still some work to be done. In some ways I liked it a lot, in others I prefer the GP24 ».

He adds : " We will have to understand how to fully exploit the potential of the GP25, but I think it will perform better. Marquez and I had exactly the same sensations. In the set-up, we seem to be the same person. It is lucky, because we are going in the same direction. »

Despite a 2024 season that ended with a second place, bagnaia is satisfied with his progress while acknowledging his mistakes: “ Even though I lost because of my own mistakes, I'm proud of what we accomplished. I don't consider this result as a defeat, because I learn from my mistakes. »

À 27 years, Pecco Bagnaia remains confident about the length of his career: " I think I still have 8 to 10 years of competition ahead of me.. My goal is to stay fast and improve continuously. I want to increase the number of world titles, but I don't focus on the numbers. »

With an ambitious vision about to Ducati promising and a determined mindset, bagnaia seems ready to take on new challenges in 2025.
