Pedro Acosta gave his feelings on the great Ducati soap opera, the epilogue of which was Marc Marquez who will be Francesco Bagnaia's teammate at Ducati for the 2025 MotoGP season. This controversial decision led Ducati to part ways with Jorge Martin, the leader current championship winner and last year's vice-world champion, with the satellite team Prima Pramac Racing.

In an interview with AS, Peter Acosta shared his thoughts on these market movements: “ there has been more movement in the market than I expected, especially with Maverick Viñales coming to KTM. The series ended as expected, with the bad guy gaining the advantage [laughs]. »

When asked if he considered Marquez as the “bad guy” in this context, Acosta clarified that neither driver deserved to be excluded from the factory team of Ducati : " in movies there must be a good guy and a bad guy. It was a strange and difficult situation, but that’s life. There was no reason to say “no” to Martin, or to Marc. Martín fought for the last world championship and is now the leader. For the moment, he is the most competitive driver of all. You have to understand that this is a company with thousands of interests on both sides, both the driver and the team, and everyone did their best for their interests »
