Rising MotoGP star Pedro Acosta revealed his inspirations and preferences during an interview with DAZN. He shared his thoughts on the drivers he admires the most. One of which stands out…
When asked who he would like to be like Marc Marquez et Valentino Rossi, Acosta chooses without hesitation Red. " To Valentino Rossi. I'm not going to tell you much, but I've formed a bond since he invited me to his winter race... He brought a lot to the bike. If Rossi made a wildcard today, the paddock would be full."
Acosta highlights the enormous impact of Red on MotoGP: “ Rossi made MotoGP evolve, he is the reason why MotoGP is what it is today. He inspired an entire generation, including Marc Marquez. He is the father of the whole paddock."
As for his other inspirations, Peter Acosta mention Dani Pedrosa as his ideal choice of teammate. “ Pedrosa should have won many more titles. It's impressive that such a small person can go so fast on a MotoGP. His sensitivity and mental capacity are incredible. He sees numbers where others see a blank page. Only Stoner or Valentino could have this innate talent."
Pedro Acosta does not hide his admiration for Rossi, Pedrosa and Stoner
For a rival, Acosta choose Casey Stoner. " Stoner was one of the last to put on a real show. Seeing the bike move and skid… I loved it when I was little. I would like to share the track with him, not just consider him a rival."
Asked about his ideal team leader, Acosta replies with a wink: “ Valentino Rossi would be a good choice. I think I would have a good time with him."
Peter Acosta continues to climb the ranks of MotoGP, inspired by the great names who shaped the sport before him. His admiration for Red, Pedrosa et Stoner reflects his respect for the history of MotoGP and his ambition to leave his own mark in the sport.
