At the 2025 Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez, KTM delivered a remarkable team performance, placing all four of its RC16 riders in the top 10: Maverick Viñales (4th), Brad Binder (6th), Pedro Acosta (7th), and Enea Bastianini (9th). The only factory team to achieve this feat, KTM, consolidated its 3rd place in the manufacturers' standings thanks to this team result, as highlighted by KTM Racing boss Pit Beirer. Here is his analysis of the performances.

At the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez, KTM accomplished a rare feat: placing its four RC16 drivers in the top 10. Although none of them reached the podium, the overall performance demonstrated the remarkable progress of the Austrian project, as highlighted by Pete Beirer, director of KTM Racing, in an interview for speedweek.

Maverick Vinales (4e) Brad Binder (6e) Peter Acosta (7e) and Enea Bastianini (9th) all finished in the top 10 – a first for KTM this season: " an extraordinary experience ", saluted Beirer. “ Everyone showed their great class »

The boss of KTM Racing also stressed that only Casa Particular in Viñales et Acosta had started since Q2, proof that the consistency in the race compensated for a more difficult Saturday.

4th place at the Spanish GP for Maverick Vinales

Viñales, driving force behind the KTM project: “ he never complains »

The rise of Maverick Vinales is not a surprise for Beirer : " Maverick works in stages, with great concentration. He never complains.. He is now a second faster than a year ago. »

The Spaniard has established himself as the internal reference, without eclipsing the collective work: " we work with everyone with the same ambition, to broaden the performance base of the RC16, as Ducati has achieved »

So, Brad Binder, after an unlucky start to the season, has found his fighting spirit again: “ Brad was fast in the race and was able to maintain very good times at the end of the Grand Prix. » Peter Acosta, although still in the learning phase, impresses with his maturity: “ He remained calm and maintained an excellent pace on medium tyres without making any mistakes.. " And Enea Bastianini, in adaptation since its passage from Ducati à KTM, continues to progress: " He is very involved and showed some good things in Jerez. »

To Beirer, this collective performance is a symbolic milestone: “ Until now, we always had one or two competitive drivers per race. In Jerez, for the first time, It was the whole team that shone in a Grand Prix which once again demonstrated the extreme level of MotoGP. » The objective for KTM will be to place again 3 drivers minimum in the top 8, aim for a first podium of the season, and reduce the gap with Ducati.
