When Dani Pedrosa signed for a job as a test rider with KTM, many thought he would have a job. To be honest, it was not the dream mission for a retiree wanting to take a step back. On this doubt came a stress fracture of a clavicle which had to be operated on with great precautions. The recovery that followed was long. So much time wasted for KTM! But the three-time world champion recovered, he took his role to heart and today everyone is happy to have him in Mattighofen. He would even be so demanding that he would make life difficult for the Austrians. Says Pol Espargaró!

Pol Espargaro is doing what he can to cope this weekend with Thailand Grand Prix with a fractured left wrist operated on just two weeks ago. But at KTM, we know what suffering means. Before him, Dani Pedrosa, barely recruited, had his share. Since it is valid again, the official speech is that it is the cornerstone of the 2020 evolution of an RC16 which is already benefiting from its first indications.

An effect that can be considered rapid. But it seems that the working method of Dani Pedrosa has a lot to do with it… Pol Espargaro explains as follows: “ When something doesn't suit him, he doesn't let go until he gets satisfaction. He wants to know who on the team can answer him. He's always on the go. Sometimes he gets exasperated because he wants everything to be perfect, and when it's not, he insists. When someone can't answer him, it looks like he's going to pounce on them. He likes everything to be done to perfection. »

Dani is not easy! But more discreet than Johann zarco…on his work, Pol Espargaro confess on Todocircuito having had doubts at the beginning: “ when he left Honda he was worn out by the world of MotoGP. For me, I found it hard to believe that he would give 100% on another bike, which is even worse than the Honda. But he was totally involved in a challenge that he takes very seriously. He mobilized everyone on the team, more than I would have thought.. »

Three days ago, Dani Pedrosa toured the Aragon track with the RC16. He refused the offer to KTM to replace Johann zarco. The same firm then realized that it would be much more useful by carrying out tests and that it would be good, as such, to take care of it.
