Marco Bezzecchi Portugal

Marco Bezzecchi is back in Portugal. The agitator of the 2023 championship was largely absent from the opening Grand Prix in Qatar; totally unrecognizable, he hadn't offered anything for three days. This time, here he is near the outposts, ready to bite. A sixth place during Practice, this time acquired well ahead of his teammate Fabio Di Giannantonio, validates his direct place in Q2. With this, the hope of competing in the race from pole, and of taking off in the best possible way for the Sprint. Is the “Bez” launching its season like this?

Marco Bezzecchi is now more than happy, he is relieved. Phew! He has not lost all his talent, which he had plenty of time to prove last year. « A positive start, already yesterday morning, was essential for the whole team! We reached there in the afternoon. There's still a lot to do, but I'm happy. I'm starting to see the results of the riding changes and I have more confidence thanks to the progress in settings" he confided. Obviously, he has the banana, he who usually embodies this troublemaker of the paddocks, with his slightly crazy but oh so charismatic air.

But the hardest part remains to be done. He has not yet mastered the subtleties of the Desmosedici GP23 – a feeling he has expressed since winter testing, but the progress is there, it is clear. He is not yet satisfied because he knows the difficulty of what he is waiting for. “I'm not perfect yet, but now the bike is more manageable, especially in the corners. Let's stay focused, a good fight awaits us today" he affirmed without blinking.
