Maverick Viñales has expressed his joy after winning the Sprint race at the Portuguese Grand Prix, highlighting the challenges faced since testing began in adapting to his new Aprilia mount. During an interview with Sky Sport, he shared his experience and outlook after this significant victory.

« From the beginning, adapting to the new bike was complicated, especially because of the feeling I had with it, " revealed Maverick Vinales. He mentions the tests in Qatar as a period of intensive experimentation, without being able to fully concentrate on the race. “ But here a change has taken place. Above all, I managed to better exploit the advantages of the motorcycle. I felt really comfortable braking and fuel consumption. There is still room for improvement, but the team has done a fantastic job since Qatar."

The enthusiasm of Casa Particular in Viñales for the race to come is palpable. “ I can't wait until Sunday to continue this momentum. It also compares track conditions to Qatar and Portimao, noting a significant difference in grip that impacted his performance seen during the Sprint of Saturday. “ In Qatar the grip was so high that I struggled to be fast.
