Barely got off his Ducati GP21 from the Pramac Racing team after securing third place in the Portuguese Grand Prix qualifying at Portimão, Johann zarco confided in front of the camera of the official website MotoGP.com after an eventful session to say the least since the Frenchman fell before setting his best time.

Johann zarco : “II didn't have time to change the suit” begins the Frenchman, showing his damaged leather. “ On the first run I got off to a good start, the first lap was OK but on the second flying lap I tried to do a little more but I changed trajectory in turn 11 with a little more passing speed and it made me lose the front. I could have held it but then I touched the front brake again because I thought the bike was almost straight, but I crashed. If I hadn't hit the front brake, maybe I could have gotten it back. Then the marshals at the beginning didn't want to (let me go) but I said “Please, I see that the bike is OK. I can get back to the pitlane and it will be much faster than taking a scooter.” And they accepted. So maybe I'll go see them to give them my cap because thanks to that I was able to get back to my box very quickly. I left with Viñales and Aleix in front of me, which helped me go a little faster. The 1'38.9 was good! I would have liked another second round but it wasn't enough. But the first line is good (laughs)! With the medium rear, I have a good feeling I did good times, so a front row and a good pace can make for a good race for Sunday »
