Portugal

An exciting Portuguese Grand Prix for the French colors awaits this Sunday. Pole position for this fifth round of MotoGP 2022 went to Johann Zarco. The Pramac Ducati Team rider achieved it with a time of 1'42.003 just under the checkered flag, during a qualifying session which notably saw a painful Q1 for the first two in the championship...

We will also cite a Pecco Bagnaia who, with the leader of the world ranking Enea Bastianini, were crushed in their respective fall in Portugal. Both took a good hit after a high-side and there are fears for the shoulder of bagnaia and the right hand of bastianini, although positive news is leaking from the medical center.

To zarco, this is the seventh pole in the premier category, the 58th for Ducati, and the manufacturer's third pole of the season after the performances of Losail and Austin exited by George Martin. At the forefront with zarco we find Joan Mir with the Suzuki and the Aprilia ofAleix Espargarò, once again the protagonist. Jack Miller with the Ducati factory will open the second row where we will also find the reigning champion's Yamaha fabio quartararo and Ducati rookie Mooney VR46 Racing Team, Marco Bezzecchi. Excellent weekend so far for the “Bez”, who took a good sixth place during his fifth MotoGP qualifying.

Alex Marquez will start from the seventh square, in front Luca marini (Ducati Mooney VR46 Racing Team) and his brother Marc Marquez, who had his best lap revoked due to a yellow flag being waved following his teammate's crash Pol Espargaro. Eleventh and twelfth place for the KTMs of Miguel Oliveira et Brad Binder.

Cheers for polelayer Johann Zarco
