Zarco Portugal

This third round of the season in Portugal has so far kept all its promises. All that remains is the icing on the Portimao cake and it will be provided by the races this Sunday. So as not to miss anything, here are the timetables with this particularity of a Moto2 bringing up the rear so that the cathodic program does not encroach on that of Formula 1. Our two French people will still play the favorites in MotoGP. Something to rejoice about!

Since we are talking about our two tricolors, we will recall that Fabio Quartararo qualified in pole position for the first time since the Aragon Grand Prix last year and for the 11th time in total in the premier category. Of his previous 10 poles, Fabio Quartararo has reached the podium six times, including two victories, both at Jerez last year (Spain and Andalusia). Furthermore, Quartararo's pole is the first for Yamaha for Franco Morbidelli at the Valencia Grand Prix last year.

A new Marseillaise in Portugal?

For its part, Johann zarco qualified in third position as best driver Ducati for his first consecutive front row since 2018 (Japan/Australia/Malaysia). He will try to achieve three podiums MotoGP successive for the first time. With Fabio Quartararo and John Zarco, this is the first time that there are two French drivers on the front row since Brno last year (also with Quartararo and zarco).
