In an impressive display of speed at Portimao, Enea Bastianini dominated the Portuguese Grand Prix stage on her Ducati, recording the fastest time in the second practice session of the Portuguese Grand Prix, qualifying directly for Q2.
With a dazzling performance, bastianini made an impression by completing a lap in 1'38.057 during his 17th outing, lifting his Desmosedici GP24 to the top, just ahead Jack Miller on his KTM Factory. The Australian, with a slim margin of only 35 thousandths, could only follow the momentum of the incredible Marc Marquez, who, in addition to his speed over a lap, showed remarkable consistency.
Marquez, despite a minor fall in his last moments on the track, surpassed his compatriot George Martin of Pramac Ducati and Brad Binder from KTM, highlighting the fierce competitiveness of this session.
Marco Bezzecchi, for his part, shone brightly, gaining confidence aboard his VR23 Racing Team Ducati Desmosedici GP 46 to place sixth, closely followed by the best of the Aprilia led by Maverick Vinales.
