Portugal

In an impressive display of speed at Portimao, Enea Bastianini dominated the Portuguese Grand Prix stage on her Ducati, recording the fastest time in the second practice session of the Portuguese Grand Prix, qualifying directly for Q2.

With a dazzling performance, bastianini made an impression by completing a lap in 1'38.057 during his 17th outing, lifting his Desmosedici GP24 to the top, just ahead Jack Miller on his KTM Factory. The Australian, with a slim margin of only 35 thousandths, could only follow the momentum of the incredible Marc Marquez, who, in addition to his speed over a lap, showed remarkable consistency.

Marquez, despite a minor fall in his last moments on the track, surpassed his compatriot George Martin of Pramac Ducati and Brad Binder from KTM, highlighting the fierce competitiveness of this session.

Marco Bezzecchi, for his part, shone brightly, gaining confidence aboard his VR23 Racing Team Ducati Desmosedici GP 46 to place sixth, closely followed by the best of the Aprilia led by Maverick Vinales.

Both Yamahas are already in Q2 of the Portuguese Grand Prix

In the final moments, Pecco Bagnaia, victorious in Qatar, made his way to Q2, positioning himself eighth, a final rush which also signaled the start of Yamaha who saw Fabio Quartararo and the new arrival Alex Rins obtain their ticket for Q2.

The others, including the young prodigy Pedro Acosta, ranked 11th on his Team GASGAS Tech3 KTM, will have to go through Q1. Behind him we find Fabio di Giannantonio of the VR46 Racing Team, Alex Marquez from Ducati Gresini, Aleix Espargaró Aprilia Factory, which fell at the end of the session, and Franco Morbidelli of Ducati Pramac, whose performance was promising before an unfortunate fall.

Honda continues to encounter difficulties, Takaaki Nakagami of LCR being best placed in 16th position, followed by Joan mir et Johann zarco of HRC. Luca marini brings up the rear MotoGP, struggling to adapt to the RC213V.
