Barely got off his Gresini team Ducati GP23 after finishing 2nd in the Grand Prix Sprint MotoGP of Portugal at the Algarve International Autodrome in Portimão, Marc Marquez spoke in front of the cameras of the official website MotoGP.com with the satisfaction of obtaining his first podium of the year, but remains more pessimistic about his chances during the GP…

Marc, what a checkered weekend! You looked like you were on another level since you got here or at the end of the first day, but then in qualifying the crash looked like a technical problem, and put you way back on the starting grid. But what a rise forward!

Marc Marquez : “Honestly, in the qualifying practice... I mean the weekend will be more difficult, because starting from 8th position is super difficult, and tomorrow the race will be even more difficult. But I made a mistake in qualifying, which I could have avoided, because I engaged the rear lock too early, and then the bike was sitting and I crashed. After that mistake the team did a really good job repairing the bike, and for the race I was very lucky on the first lap to get a good start, then I overheated the front tire a bit , I relaxed a little, and then I came back in the last lap to attack. Tomorrow, with the medium rear, it will be a little different. »
