This first season of the next world is characterized by a short and intense calendar, to be experienced in an entrenched camp that the paddock had to become. A confinement between the protagonists of the Grands Prix with an exchange with the outside reduced to its simplest expression, which the health circumstances have imposed. But the collateral consequences of this new normal are the same as for the average citizen in their daily lives: a new pressure which induces more or less contained aggression. According to Aleix Espargaró, this explains the new, more tense atmosphere that he sees in the industry, both on the track and behind the scenes...

This year, Aleix Espargaró decided to speak out on all subjects. He spoke on Johann zarco, on the Commissioners, he exchanged with a certain volubility with Danilo Petrucci, the list is not exhaustive. But it is already sufficiently stocked to realize that, this year, in MotoGP, it is rather tense in terms of atmosphere. Five races over six weekends, including three consecutive Grand Prix at Brno et Spielberg, it tests the organisms and the mind all the more as all these beautiful people evolve in a closed park, in the literal sense of the notion.

All this leads us to notice a particular atmosphere. “ Yes, it's true that we can feel a lot of tension in the paddock ", confirmed Aleix Espargaro, who himself was summoned before the commissioners after his gesture-filled argument with Danilo Petrucci.

“It’s a strange year, everyone just needs to help a little”

The 31-year-old father also declares: “ for me, the only negative point of this calendar is that I miss my family a lot. On the other hand, I like to spend a lot of time on the track. I couldn't go home after the first Austrian Grand Prix because there was an Aprilia commercial shoot on the schedule. But I love being on the trail, I have my camper there and my people around me. I have dinner with my mechanics and do a lot of racing cycling. I love racing, so I also love being on the track He said.

However… " But it's true: if you go to many races in a row and don't come home in between, you'll never be able to stop and relax. It also increases tension ", said Aleix Espargaro on speedweek to Nora Lantschner. “ I think everyone in this paddock needs to rest. We know it's a strange year, everyone just needs to help a little ».

The Spaniard, who lives in Andorra, took advantage of the short break until the next double event in Misano on September 13 and 20, which will be followed by the Grand Prix of Barcelona on September 27 to reunite with his family, relax with his wife and his twins Max and Mia.
