Marc Marquez had an exemplary 2019 season in his consistency and panache. He has never been less than second and he has only one retirement, in Austin, where he remained undefeated since this track joined the MotoGP calendar. An overwhelming domination, and yet everyone agrees, apart from his boss in the box Alberto Puig, that his Honda is one of the most complicated bikes to ride. A fact recognized by the now eight-time World Champion who identified the best machine on the grid for this completed 2019 exercise. And there too, Alberto Puig will be upset…

Given his career, his track record, and his style of never giving up while achieving his goals each time, Marc Márquez has acquired this legitimacy which allows him to think, say and undoubtedly do what he wants. He only knows one limit: himself!

By making a final assessment of this year which is in its twilight, he assumes an expertise which will make his employer Honda laugh. Indeed, in comments relayed by Todocircuito, he specifies: “ The Yamaha was the most competitive bike, especially in the second half of the season. When Quartararo started going fast, all the Yamaha riders started going faster ". And he adds, thus contradicting Alberto puig, his theoretical boss in the Repsol box: “ Of course, Honda is disappointed that I'm the only one in front with their bike, but it's true that the RC213V is a difficult bike. Crutchlow, Lorenzo and Nakagami suffered. »

Marc Márquez also speaks of the adversaries: “ they were of a very good level. But the problem is that no one has been consistent enough. » He also talks about a Frenchman who revealed himself… « Quartararo's strong point is his one-lap speed, and now with this experience I think he will improve his race perseverance. It has become more dangerous for next year. Of course you can learn from a beginner, you have to learn from new drivers, I admit that at some point, maybe next year, a driver will come who will be faster than me, and I will have to m 'improve. »

Exactly, here are his resolutions for 2020: “ this year the goal was to improve the engine, in 2020 one of the goals is to work in the chassis area. We have already worked on it this year, to get a bike that is just as competitive, but easier for everyone. » No offense to Alberto puig !
