The mid-season mark has passed and it's time to take a summer break. The opportunity to take stock of certain situations. That of Jorge Lorenzo at Ducati arouses, in this light, curiosity. After an entire career in MotoGP spent at Yamaha, the five-time winner chose to cross the golden bridge erected by Ducati in order to experience new adventures. An experience that remains difficult for the moment. Valencia's first positive tests fizzled out and its current results are far from the predictions that were made for a while, promising it as a candidate for the title. A suitor that his teammate has become, on the other hand…

And it is true that the position ofAndrea Dovizioso in the championship is struggling to get the message across that a GP17 needs to be reviewed and corrected. Three podiums including two victories for the Italian and only one podium for the Spaniard. So much for the best results from the duo in red. DesmoDovi was at the top of the general classification for a moment and is third in the championship with 123 points. Por Fuera is ninth with 65 units.

Quite a difference whereas, for several Grands Prix, we have noticed a scenario which arouses attention: the Ducati stamped with the 99 is sparkling during the first five laps, then falls into line before sinking into anonymity. Is it the bike's fault? On the other side of the Alps, we put forward another hypothesis.

And this is less advantageous for the pilot. It wouldn't be the GP17 that would have a problem, but Jorge Lorenzo, to insufficient physical condition. We thus learn that the alert had been given during the off-season tests in Malaysia where, after five laps, the teammate of Dovizioso had returned to the box exhausted.

The question is therefore asked in Italy. It shows to what extent the rest of the season and the experience of Lorenzo at Ducati will be in the spotlight, from the start of the school year, in Brno on August 4.
