Initially all planned behind closed doors, the Grands Prix adapt their policy concerning the public according to the evolution of the health crisis in the different regions of Europe.

So, this week, the Motorland Aragón circuit announced that its hope of welcoming part of the public would be in vain, whether for MotoGP or Superbike.

Conversely, the Misano circuit has just received regional authorization to accommodate 10 people for the two Grands Prix which will take place there : the San Marino and Rimini Riviera Grand Prix (September 11-13) and the Emilia Romagna and Rimini Riviera Grand Prix (September 18-20).

Certainly, the figure is modest given the regulatory capacity of 110 people, including more than 000 in the stands, but it is a first step that the Misano World Circuit owes to an extremely rigorous health policy which could also be used during the French Grand Prix.

The Emilia-Romagna Region, following an investigation carried out by the General Directorate of Health, assessed that the organizers (Santa Monica di Misano Adriatico company) carried out work in compliance with regulations, useful in preparing various possibilities of events on the Misano World Circuit, paying attention to the protocols and ensuring their rigorous application.

Basically, the public will go directly from a parking lot to a stand, obviously keeping safe distances and without mixing with people from other stands. Access to the common lawns will of course be prohibited while a large staff will be there to welcome and monitor the public, both outside and on the circuit. Additionally, the organizer will keep a copy of the lists of names of those who purchased a ticket for at least 14 days, making them available upon request to health facilities in the event of a need to conduct contact tracing activities.

To date, this is the first experience of a partial return of the public during a Grand Prix, so let's hope that this can also be implemented during the French Grand Prix, although the 24 hours of Le Mans (autos) have just announced that they will take place behind closed doors.
