MotoGP Qatar 2: already new parts for Bastianini from Ducati?

The rookie Bastianini can be happy with his top 10 acquired at the end of a Qatar Grand Prix which marked not only the start of the MotoGP season but also his entry into the category. Indeed, for the following match, scheduled for this weekend, still in Losail, but for a Doha Grand Prix, the Moto2 World Champion will perhaps have new parts for his GP19 from Ducati. Enea Bastianini is no one's half-brother and, at Qatar, he was not noticed by anyone dazzling start moving up ten places before the first turn, only to lose the same number again before the finish line. Then he had a strong race putting him tenth, in a group fighting for seventh place. Unquestionably, he was the most convincing of the three rookies in the MotoGP this year.

After an excellent debut last Sunday in Qatar, Enea Bastianini can't wait to get back on his Ducati Desmosedici. The pilot Avintia Team comments: “ after last Sunday's race, I have more experience. The fact of not having had access to Q2 for only 5 thousandths influenced the start of the race, but I am very happy with it. We will try to be faster in the attack against the clock and we will do a race similar to that of last Sunday ».

Bastianini aims for better qualifications

« I was thrilled to be on track with all the big names. It was funny to race with riders I didn't know, but I found others from Moto3 and Moto2. After the race I was quite tired, I had to recover and I never relaxed, we were always fighting. We will try to start higher on the grid this weekend, this will help me waste less energy ».
