MotoGP is back on the long straight of the Losail track, the same one which allowed Johann Zarco to set the top speed record at 362,4 km/h. But we can go even faster, Ducati has convinced itself, and this weekend, the 400 km/h mark is the target. Let's all hope that this story doesn't end in a mess...

The director of the Ducati Corse proclaimed it loud and clear: top speed interests him to the highest degree. And in fact, Gigi Dall'Igna worked on the subject. During the last Qatar Grand Prix, Joan mir, fully on his Suzuki, saw a train made up of two GP21 wagons pass before the finish line, causing it to drop from second to fourth in the blink of an eye. The World Champion MotoGP had then declared, fatalistically, that he could not defend himself.

This was not a surprise since John Zarco had, during the tests, set the V-max bar at 362,4 km/h. The Italian V4 works wonders, helped by the electronics and aerodynamics dedicated to the cause. But can we go even faster? Valentino Rossi assures us that yes, and that we will see it Mugello. But maybe before. This weekend, on the same Losail route for the Doha Grand Prix, we could slam a 400 km/h historical. Afterwards, you will still have to stop because at that speed, you are not like a fish in water…
