This is information that appeared on the site Motorsport and which shows to what extent the emotion was at its height in the MotoGP paddock once the arrival of the Grand Prix of Qatar judged. Between the tension of a last round of fire between Dovizioso and Marquez followed by a revolt of four manufacturers against Ducati, almost everyone missed two overtakes under yellow flag in the final moments. Which, if taken into account, would have changed both the order and the podium numbers at Losail.

In the light of this element, we understand the particular exchange better than having Alex Rins upon his return to the Suzuki box with his chief mechanic who had come to congratulate him on his fourth position. Just behind Crutchlow which therefore took the last step of the podium. Rather than soberly receiving the compliments, the Spaniard slipped something into the ear of his accomplice in the box who would immediately relay the words to Davide Brivio.

We subsequently learned that a claim had been made against Ducati for the use of its deflector on the swingarm. But that's probably not what the teammate was causing. Mir. Indeed, following the fall of Bradley Smith in the first corner of the track, the yellow flag was out on the straight at the start of the last lap. At 350 km/h, the pilots did not see it and Dovizioso as Crutchlow took the advantage respectively over Márquez et Kidneys under yellow flag regime.

No report was made to the pilots on the dashboard to then report the positions. Better still, no complaints came to mobilize the commissioners. The bosses were already focused on the Ducati deflector affair. And we must note the sportiness of Marc Márquez who accepted a defeat that he could have contested.

Even if the risks of downgrading are very low, the victory of Dovizioso is nevertheless still on reprieve, this time awaiting the technical verdict of the FIM Appeal Court which should fall in the next few hours.
