This edition of the Qatar Grand Prix will be the 21st of its kind at Losail since its arrival on the calendar in 2004, and the 16th under the spotlights. In 2020, only Moto2 and Moto3 races took place due to the Covid-19 pandemic. From 2007 to 2022, the Qatar Grand Prix opened the season, and it will again be an inaugural round in the 2024 season.

As for drivers who are already winners, we note in the lead Jorge Lorenzo with 6 achievements (3 x MotoGP, 2 x 250cc, 1 x 125cc), then Casey Stoner with 5 (4 x MotoGP, 1 x 250cc), Valentino Rossi who is at 4 (4 x MotoGP), Maverick Casa Particular in Viñales 3 (2 x MotoGP, 1 x Moto3), Andrea Dovizioso 2 (2 x MotoGP), like Marc Márquez (1 x MotoGP, 1 x Moto2), but also Sam Lowes 2 (2 x Moto2) and Nico Terol (2 x 125cc).

Among the manufacturers, the greatest number of victories is distributed as follows: Yamaha 10, Ducati 6 and Honda 3. Yamaha is in fact the most successful manufacturer at Losail with 10 victories in MotoGP, with four different riders: Valentino Rossi (2005, 2006, 2010 and 2015), Jorge Lorenzo (2012, 2013 and 2016), Maverick Vinales (2017, 2021/1) and fabio quartararo (2021 / 2).

Ducati won six times in MotoGP au Qatar with three different drivers, Casey Stoner (2007, 2008 and 2009), Andrea Dovizioso (2018 and 2019) and Enea Bastianini (2022) Doga won three victories with three different drivers, Sete Gibernau (2004) Casey Stoner (2011) et Marc Marquez (2014)

The best result ofAprilia in MotoGP in Qatar is P4 with Aleix Espargaró in 2022. KTM made its full-time MotoGP debut in Qatar in 2017. Brad Binder finished P2 in 2022, which is the Austrian manufacturer's best result on this circuit in the category.
