Enea Bastianini Qatar

Enea Bastianini is on the right path in Qatar. With a more than successful qualifying session – and moreover completed in front of his reigning world champion teammate Pecco Bagnaia, he failed to convert this first row into a significant result once the Sprint started. But at least he's back in the game, ready to fight. This is nice to see, because in 2022, it had made the entire motorcycle world dream, without a doubt.

“Bestia” is back in business. Discreet but very solid during Q2, he took third time just behind Jorge Martin and Aleix Espargaro. Better still, he didn't even give a tenth of a second back to the Martinator, which is strong given the Spaniard's intrinsic speed. Then came the Sprint race, where he defended more than he attacked: « It was a bit of a special race, I expected to do something better but I'm still quite happy. After four laps there were some small vibration and grip problems, especially in the fast parts, which we will have to analyze and resolve in preparation for Sunday, where we will also have to manage tire wear well. We will definitely try something during the warm-up. The mechanics are working for this and we will try to do better on Sunday."

Wise words, which can allow him to achieve victory! The last time he started from the front row, at Sepang, last year, he achieved the feat of achieving success despite a year 2023 marked by injuries. If he wins, he would get his year off to a good start, and would appear as one of the main contenders for the world title.
