Following an inconclusive PCR test, Enea Bastianini (Avintia Esponsorama) was not able to take the same plane as the Ducati men to go to Qatar. He was nevertheless able to take off yesterday afternoon after obtaining two negative results.

This delayed departure, however, risks being detrimental to the Moto2 world champion, since he will have to undergo another PCR test on his arrival as well as 24-hour confinement.

His plane having landed late last night in Doha, there is therefore relatively little chance of seeing “Bestia” in the saddle this evening in Losail, the shakedown taking place from 12:00 p.m. to 19:00 p.m. French time (14:00 p.m. to 21:00 p.m. local).

As a reminder, Enea Bastianini, as Luca marini (Sky Racing Team VR46) and George Martin (Pramac Racing), can participate in the shakedown as rookies, just like official test drivers Stefan bradl (Sling), Cal Crutchlow, Katsuyuki Nakasuga et Kohta Nozane (Yamaha Test Team), Michele Pirro (Dozens), Dani Pedrosa (KTM), Sylvain Guintoli et Takuya Tsuda (Team Suzuki Ecstar) as well asAleix Espargaró et Lorenzo Savadori, titular drivers of the only manufacturer still benefiting from concessions, Aprilia.

In total, there are 13 drivers on the program today, but there will perhaps only be a dozen in the end. In the worst case scenario, the rookie teammate of Luca marini will take part in the following two days, with all the regular drivers…
