There was only 0.663 this Saturday evening at the end of the Losail tests between Johann Zarco's best time and Jorge Lorenzo's time. The situation was not catastrophic for the Spaniard, but he had only achieved the tenth time at the end of the three days, which made him much less happy.

Another unfavorable element for Lorenzo was that he was only third Ducati rider, ahead of the two other Desmosedici GP18s of Andrea Dovizioso and Danilo Petrucci.

To Jorge Lorenzo, « This Saturday, it went much better than the day before, and we found a setting which allowed me to do several fairly fast laps. But we struggled a bit when the temperatures dropped and the humidity increased. In these conditions, we are still struggling to be competitive and keep a good pace. The position is not fantastic, but, as I predicted yesterday, if I found a good base and a good configuration, I could do a big 1'54. I did 1'54.6, which is a good time, the problem is that everyone improved by half a second, and that's why we are in ninth position. Above all, Zarco set a great time. I missed that last soft front tire, which we didn't have so we could drive a little faster, but the important thing is that the sensations have improved a lot compared to yesterday and we still have a lot of ideas to improve ourselves and get to our true potential, which I think is higher than what we currently have. “

“It was a pre-season to find a way to get the bike to my liking. We will get it, little by little. The bike has improved, the problem is that all the brands have improved. The Honda has improved its engine a lot, the Suzuki is doing very well, the Yamaha too, especially Zarco, the bar is set higher. The positive is that we have not reached our greatest potential. It is by working hard, as we did today, that things happen, and that results come. “
