Beyond the results sheet for the third day which, apart from Andrea Iannone, generally corresponds to the classification of the three days combined, the analysis of the race simulations allows another approach to the forces present…

From the outset, we notice the presence of two groups, the first including Marc Marquez, Cal Crutchlow, Valentino Rossi, Dani Pedrosa et Danilo Petrucci, running between 1'55 and 1'55.5 in race simulation, the second including Aleix Espargaro, Jack Miller, Álvaro Bautista, Jorge Lorenzo et John Zarco, running between 1'56 and 1'56.5.

Slightly slower than the first group, we also find alex rins et Andrea Dovizioso a little in intermediate positions.

A second difference between the two groups is huge because, theoretically, it will be 22 seconds at the finish...

Also, there is no doubt that the gaps will narrow during the race weekend especially as some, like Johann Zarco (see here), admitted to having probably not given their 100%.

It nevertheless remains that the simulation of Danilo Petrucci remains impressive... and that no less than 3 Hondas appear in the first group: perhaps the surprise to come in two weeks, on a circuit which, traditionally, is rather favorable to Ducatis and Yamahas!
