Suffice to say that Por Fuera had a great childhood... But he swears that it was the right method to achieve these five world titles, 68 Grand Prix victories and other 152 podiums. He became a legend and to listen to him, it's thanks to his hard work, while others may have had it easier thanks to a more assertive natural talent.

But who is this “hard hitting” father? His name is Chicho and he runs a training school for budding champions, which has nevertheless seen names like Joan mir or, more recently, Peter Acosta.

« He introduced me to the world of motorcycles because it was his passion ", remember Jorge Lorenzo who would therefore not have had the choice of his destiny. “ He built me a motorcycle when I was three. I did my first race a little later » he remembers.

Jorge Lorenzo confirms it, with, therefore, these famous words: “ he was like a drill sergeant. My father was a sort of Hitler, or a Chinese or Russian gymnastics coach ". However, now that he's done with life as a titular pilot, Jorge Lorenzo claims to be happier: “ I'm happier now “, he notes. " During my life as a pilot, I was constantly thinking about how I could improve. I often trained six or seven hours a day ". And yet, he misses certain aspects of sport: “ what I miss most is winning. I have always been very ambitious, even as a child. I liked winning more than being on a motorcycle. For me, the motorcycle was just a tool. Not to move through my life but to win ". Finally, he ends with a thought-provoking remark:my father had me at 28, I'm already 34 and from time to time I think about how quickly time passes.
