Ramón Forcada

The former chief technician of MotoGP, Ramón Forcada, 4 times MotoGP world champion, and who prepared the bikes of riders like Jorge Lorenzo, with whom he was three times MotoGP World Champion, or Álex Crivillé, with whom he won the 125cc World Champion title in 1989, had left the World Championship paddock in parallel with the withdrawal of Andrea Dovizioso, after having been part of it for more than 31 years, with more than 500 Grands Prix to his credit. He is launching a new challenge by signing for the Finetwork MIR Racing Team in JuniorGP.

Ramón Forcada has worked with Casey Stoner, Dani Pedrosa, Franco Morbidelli, with whom he was MotoGP vice-world champion, and Andrea Dovizioso and now takes on the challenge of supporting young talents who seek to emulate their idols in the World Championship MotoGP.

Ramón Forcada's importance to Jorge Lorenzo's MotoGP success was such that, upon his departure to Ducati in 2017, the five-time world champion demanded that the Catalan be part of his team at the Italian factory. Yamaha prevented it, aware of the enormous advantage of having Ramón Forcada in its structure.

Ramón Forcada will pass on all his knowledge to young riders who dream of reaching MotoGP, thus expanding his legacy in the World Championship after 31 years and more than 500 Grands Prix.

A reason for great pride, as highlighted by Javi Martinez, JuniorGP Team Director: “One of the great excellences of the MotoGP World Championship joins us. A man capable of getting the most out of drivers like Jorge Lorenzo, Alex Crivillé or Casey Stoner, who have left their mark on the history of this sport. Having Ramón Forcada means a big leap forward for a team that is constantly growing, as well as finding everything the drivers need. We would like to thank Forcada for the confidence placed in this project after a successful career in MotoGP. »
