Petronas Yamaha Sepang Racing Team (SRT) boss Datuk Razlan Razali is confident that his rider Franco Morbidelli could well be the MotoGP world champion this season.

He stressed, however, that any team interested in obtaining the services of the current MotoGP world vice-champion in 2022 will have to pay appropriate compensation to Petronas Yamaha SRT, as the Italian rider has signed a contract with them until the end of the 2022 season.
